What's a widget? - In simple terms, it is a standalone player to display/deliver content (such as music, images, videos, text, and other data). We will embed your widgets into your Japanese web site and TopMusic.jp profile page. You can login anytime to your Reverb Nation (or other widget provider) account and manage the content yourself. Thus, there is no need to read/write Japanese. Any changes you make to the content is automatically reflected in your Japanese Web Site.

We translate your English text (i.e. bio, profile or message) into Japanese and include it in your Japanese web site, mobile site, optional PDF press sheet, and TopMusic.jp profile page. (Up to 125 English words included in price. Add US$0.25/word translation fee for words over 125).
*If you can provide a bio already professionally translated and edited in Japanese by a human (not computer software translator), we can add it if it meets our standards.

JPEG/GIF image (usually artist photo or CD cover) is displayed at the top of your Japanese web site, mobile site, optional PDF press sheet, and TopMusic.jp profile page.
*You can use a photo slide show widget to display more images.

If you have a Twitter account, we can add a widget that displays your latest "Tweets" in the NEWS and Latest Info section on your Japanese web site and TopMusic.jp profile page. Your Japanese mobile site will link to the Twitter Mobile version. You can setup a free Twitter account at Twitter.com.

We can also add a link to your official blog if you have one. You can setup a free blog at ReverbNation.com, Blogspot.com and other providers.

Japan Show Schedule

Your ReverbNation Show Schedule with Map widget is displayed in your Japanese web site and TopMusic.jp profile page. You can post your shows there using your ReverbNation account.

Send us your Japan show schedule (max. 10 shows per submission) and we will post it in your web site, mobile site and TopMusic.jp profile page. It also becomes searchable in the TopMusic.jp Music Guide.

We include your links to iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, MySpace, Facebook, Bandcamp, your official home page and any Japanese Shops that sell your music. (Our staff does an internet search to find links to Japanese shops that sell your music.)

If applicable, we display your record label name, image, and link in the TopMusic.jp Music Guide and in your web and mobile sites. The record label is also included in the TopMusic.jp "Record Label List" and Japanese users can search for and list all artists under the record label. The record label name, website link and image (150 x 150 pixels jpg/gif) are also randomly displayed in the "Label Showcase" section in all the main pages of the TopMusic.jp Music Guide.

There is a button for Japanese Twitter users to easily "tweet" the artist name and Japanese Web Site URL.

Japanese users can send a message directly to you through a contact form on your web site, mobile site and TopMusic.jp profile page.
*Your email address is always hidden to users.

Your Japanese mobile site is like a "lite" version web site that is optimized for Japanese mobile phones (both traditional keitai and smartphones). It displays the main image and most text and link content from your Japanese web site.

There is a function to allow Japanese mobile users to easily "tweet" (announce) you on Twitter Mobile. In addition, there is a "Tell-A-Friend" function to allow mobile users to easily send your link to friends and a "Contact Artist" function to send a message to your email. Artists can also print it out for their own use (i.e. you can include it when sending your demo or materials to Japanese radio stations, record companies, distributors, publishers, show/festival organizers, etc.)

Japanese text is in graphics so they can be viewed and printed on non-Japanese computers too.

There is NO login account provided because you cannot modify the Japanese web site, mobile site or TopMusic.jp profile page directly by yourself. But you can modify your content in the music player, video player, and show schedule widgets freely using your Reverb Nation account. For other modifications (contact email, links, etc.) you can submit your changes to us using an online form and our staff will make the updates. Many industry people use the TopMusic.jp Music Guide, so in order to maintain a professional and consistent standard, all web and mobile sites are manually processed and links/content checked by our Japanese staff.

Your Japanese web site, mobile site and TopMusic.jp profile page follow a fixed layout/design and are hosted on the TopMusic.jp server indefinitely or until deleted by TopMusic.jp administrators or by a request from you.

We may deactivate/delete your Japanese web site, mobile site and TopMusic.jp profile page from the server if you request us to do so by email. If this is the case, no refund is provided.

We reserve the right to deactivate or delete your Japanese web site, mobile site and TopMusic.jp profile page from the server at anytime at the discretion of TopMusic.jp administrators without notification or statement of reason made to you. If this is the case, a partial or full refund may be made.

Due to web and mobile site, server and system maintenance, as well as other unforeseen technical and internet connectivity issues, your Japanese web site, mobile site and TopMusic.jp profile page may not be available for a certain period of time. If this occurs, we will try to minimize this downtime. Naturally, we cannot guarantee 100% uptime.

Since the Japanese web+mobile site and TopMusic.jp profile page may contain widgets from other companies, please check the policies and terms/conditions of the respective widget providers (i.e. ReverbNation, Twitter, etc.)

TopMusic.jp and its owners, administrators and partners are not responsible for any loss or damage incurred by the use of any services or products supplied by Top Music Japan and JICS MEDIA.

Only a person authorized by the band/artist may submit the order form. By submitting the order form you declare that you understand and agree to the terms and conditions described here.

Invalid Impressions (Page Views)

Artists may not use any means to inflate web and mobile site impressions (page views) artificially, including manual methods.

Web and mobile site impressions (page views) should result from genuine Japanese visitors. Any method that artificially generates impressions (page views) on your Japanese web site, mobile site and TopMusic.jp profile page is strictly prohibited. These prohibited methods include, but are not limited to, repeated manual clicks or impressions, automated click and impression generating tools and the use of robots or deceptive software.

If you fail to comply with these policies, we reserve the right to deactivate your Japanese web site, mobile site and TopMusic.jp profile page at any time. If deactivated, you will not be eligible for further participation in our services and a refund will not be issued if payment was made.

How much does it cost?

There is a setup fee of US$99. There may be additional charges if you order options. There are no monthly, annual or transaction fees.
*Ads are not displayed in your Japanese web and mobile sites during the first year. After the first year, you have the option not to display ads in your Japanese web and mobile sites for a fee of $5/mo.

It usually takes 1 to 10 business days to complete your Japanese web and mobile sites. We will contact you by email when completed or if anything else is needed.

We reserve the right to accept and refuse orders at our discretion. If your order is not accepted, your payment will be refunded in full.

• ReverbNation Artist Account with at least 1 image and 1 MP3 uploaded (best if you also have at least 1 YouTube video and 1 show schedule). Get a free ReverbNation Artist Account at www.ReverbNation.com.
• Photo Slide Show Widget. You can create free Photo Slide Show Widgets at Flickr, Slide, Photobucket, or MySpace. (We will resize it to fit a width of 475 pixels.)
• YouTube video. If you don't have a YouTube music video, you can easily make one using your MP3 and some photos / images at www.animoto.com. Then upload it to YouTube.com.
• Twitter Account. You can get a free Twitter Account at Twitter.com. Try to make at least 1 tweet.
• Blog Account. You can create a blog using your ReverbNation Artist Account, Myspace, Blogspot.com, Wordpress, etc.
• Try to make a list of the links (URLs) to the shops that sell your music (iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby, etc.)
• A sample MP3 for free download from your web+mobile site. You can make it a short clip or full song.
• A well-written bio that is brief, informative and concise. It's best to rewrite or edit your original English one especially for Japanese music fans (or industry people) and so that it does not use slang or idioms that are difficult or impossible to translate accurately into Japanese.
